OUR FIRST MEAL SEATED IN A RESTAURANT. We try SENECA on Division St in Downtown Saratoga Springs.
Head chef Mike Spain has a fine dining background (CIA graduate) The menu at Seneca is American with a focus on ingredients. Seneca is notable for its open kitchen with wood fire grill and oven. The menu features many local ingredients (like Hot Crispy Oil) and the ambiance is modern with a lot of space between tables.
We tried a few snacks, fried chicken deviled eggs (gravy filling | dill pickle relish | hot honey) and goat cheese polenta fries (pecorino | dill | black garlic tzatziki). I had a drink called “RELEASE THE KRAKEN.” And because I have trust issues dining in saratoga from new restaurants because of the saratoga race course and the saratoga track 2021, I tried their least expensive offering, the wagyu burger (tomato jam | smoked cheddar | roasted shallot aioli | potato roll | house-cut french fries).
