Nash’s Sacrifice

Back in 2002, Vince McMahon decided to bring in Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash as the nWo to “inject the WWE with a lethal dose of poison” to battle the “cancer” that Ric Flair’s presence in the WWE created. Yeah…I know…

Everybody remembers that the angle flopped due to a number of reasons including top WWE names not wanting to job to the nWo, Hall and Nash being well outside of prime shape, and popularity of Hulk Hogan warranting a nostalgic Hulkamania run. Also, the addition of Booker T to the nWo and leadership by Shawn Michaels wearing a cowboy hat may have had something to do with this.

What you may not remember is that Kevin Nash came into the angle injured with a biceps tear, and, as a result, didn’t compete for a while. Once the nWo angle was dead and buried, Nash made his in-ring comeback. It was a tag-team clusterfuck match on Raw in June or July or so. I think there were 8 or 10 guys that they had no anglesĀ for involved in the match.

Literally, the minute Nash was tagged in, he hit a few moves, then fell, grasping his quadricep. Lo and behold, he tore it. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfxuAI7SAMk)

The following video, for you viewing pleasure, is Nash’s Sacrifice, the road to recovery from this quad injury.

Enjoy!
