Good evening, class…

It’s been a long time in the making, but I am returning to blogging. I figured that enough people that I know have their own personal blogs, so it was time for me to throw my hat into the ring. For various reasons, I swore off blogging for the last 4+ years. The reasons for this are stored away in a mental vault and will not be within the scope of material for this blog.

Speaking of the scope of this blog, I plan to use this as a platform to deliver and share some of the stories and experiences that I encounter on an everyday basis. There will be times where there will be no post for a few days. There may also be times where there are multiple posts in a day. In other words, I will be blogging. I feel no pressure to have a post every day or to schedule posts, as you should feel no pressure to read every day. If I post too many times, you’ll get over it. If I post too few times, you’ll get over it.

I am fairly active on twitter and kind of active on facebook, so if you also follow me there, you may find a link to this every now and again. I don’t plan on spamming your twitter feed or anything. Also, I have a blogroll in my sidebar to share some of the other blogs I read. This is populated from my google reader, and is not a completely comprehensive list of everything I read. Just to not play favorites, these links will shuffle around randomly. If you would like me to add you or, more importantly, read your blog, feel free to send me an email or comment on a post.

Speaking of commenting, all comments will be moderated. Unfortunately, this is the internet, and it is a necessity. I would like to keep an open forum, but I cannot tolerate the normal hazing and inability of people to distinguish opinion from fact. If you have a helpful insight into what I or other readers are saying in the comments, your comment will make it through moderation. I invite everyone to comment, so please do not hesitate.

A necessary disclaimer I need to make: unless otherwise noted, all stories herein are from my perspective, pulling from my perceptions. Additionally, any opinions contained herein are my own. These opinions do not belong to any organization, club, or group that I may be a part of.

Also, my views come from a practical standpoint. I generally am fairly misanthropic, and, although this may come across in a negative tone, the overall message you should take from reading this blog is that of complete positivity. Think Andrew WK.

Now that all of that is out of the way, I hope you enjoy what I have to say…
