Big things are coming

I was away this past weekend on sort of a retreat to visit my parents. On my retreat, I’ve been working on a few things that are to come for this blog in the upcoming week (maybe more).

I’ve been in touch with the guys who run MANville, and as mentioned on part 2 of last week’s podcast, I will be on the show presenting a special segment on beers. I’ve actually been spending a lot of money for “research,” and it’s going to be something that everyone, especially beer drinkers, will enjoy. If you subscribe on iTunes now, you’re guaranteed to get it as soon as it’s available.

I also spent some time this weekend making a leap back into some gaming. I pre-ordered Halo: Reach for XBOX360. That’s dropping mid-September. I’m gonna start turning on my Xbox at least once a week (probably Wednesday or Thursday Night) and tinkering around with some games until that comes out. If you’re on XBOX Live, you should add me and maybe we could play some games on that night. If I get enough interest, I’ll put together some derryX Game nights.

I bought WarioWare D.I.Y. at BestBuy. I put a decent amount of time into that. It’s a pretty causal game, but I like it because I could pick up my DSi for a few minutes, play some games and not have to commit a huge block of time. The WarioWare franchise almost never disappoints, so I’d recommend checking it out if you have a Nintendo DS.

I know this is a bunch of random thoughts, but (a) that’s what a blog post is and (b) things will come together very soon.
