Join me for a Taste of Elegance

I recently found out about an upcoming fundraiser that I figured I’d share just in case some of you are interested in going.

The Boys and Girls Club of Southern Rensselaer County is hosting “A Taste of Elegance.” It’s Saturday, September 29 at 12 Noon. The venue is Pat’s Barn (110 Defreest Drive Troy, NY 12180)

Admission is $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Call Rick or Amanda at the Boys & Girls Club at (518) 465-3403 to arrange to get your tickets in advance.

Featuring: Illium Café, Yono’s, Malozzi’s, Casey’s, Real Seafood and Teagan’s, Amici Vineyard, Hudson Chatham Winery, Capoccia Vineyards, Wine pull,Farmer’s Market,Silent Auction and Much more…..

The first two things featured make the $25-$30 admission fee worth it in my book. Cassie and I are regulars at Illium Cafe, and I’m not shy to tell people that I think Chef Ortega at Illium is one of the more talented chefs in the area. I’m sure she’ll be pulling out all of the stops for the event.

Yono’s is another great draw. Maybe some of their outstanding desserts will make it to the event.

The wine tasting also sounds like fun. I’ve enjoyed wines from Amici and Hudson Chatham and am eager to see what Capoccia has to offer.

I’m sure there’ll be lots of surprises too. The farmers market could be lots of fun.
