Ingredients
Tostones
2
Green plantains
Vegetable oil
(For frying)
Salt and pepper
(to taste)
Fancy Sauce
2
tbsp
Mayo
2
tbsp
Ketchup
Salt and pepper
(to taste)
Instructions
Tostones
Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil to about 375°F. Remove ends from plantains.
Remove the skin from the plantain, and slice about 1-2 inches thick.
Fry each piece until it is golden brown.
Smash each piece with an aluminum foil wrapped can.
Fry again until golden brown.
Allow to cool 5 minutes before eating. Serve with Fancy Sauce (see below)
Fancy Sauce
Add mayo, ketchup, and salt and pepper to taste in a bowl.
Mix.
