Two and a Half Dudes

I just read some news that Ashton Kutcher is set to replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men. It’s not a show that I’m a big fan of, but I do watch it sometimes, and I find it mildly entertaining.

Honestly, I never really liked Charlie Sheen. When someone (like me) can say that their favorite movie that you’re in is Major League, it speaks volumes. Charlie Sheen was kind of funny on Two and a Half Men, but I don’t think I’ll miss him. The latest Sheen meltdowns with his goddesses and #winning was really stupid and not entertaining or amusing in the least.

I’m sort of indifferent toward Ashton Kutcher as the choice to replace him. It seems like a lazy choice, like they went to twitter and said, “let’s take a look at who all the kids are following on twitter because we have to tap into that demographic.” So the powers that be looked at a list of top twitter users and went for the one guy who had higher twitter cred than Sheen. Like because Kutcher has twice the followers, that it will translate into twice the ratings.

Who's winning now?

I don’t know if I believe that Ashton can really bring anything fresh to the show. He was great in Dude, Where’s My Car? and on MTV’s Punk’d, but that’s all I ever liked that he did.

I guess time will tell. I’m hoping for the best, but, in the end, it’s a show I really don’t care about.

I’m kind of upset that an even swap for Martin Sheen didn’t work out, but what can you do?
