Scenes from my Italian Comfort Foods class at DDK

It’s really fun and awesome that I have the opportunity to teach cooking classes at Different Drummers Kitchen in Albany. My first class involving eggs was a fun experience that taught me a few lessons about class menu design and show prep. When I sat down to plan out my second class, I dug deep into my roots and decided to go the Italian direction. I came up with a menu that was sure to pack a whole lot of value into 150 minutes.

I had my camera but didn’t have time to take any pictures. Luckily, the staff at DDK was awesome about snapping some pictures with my camera and taking some on their iPhones. Between all of those, I was able to assemble a pretty comprehensive album with the food from the class. (See below)

I had a great time teaching this class, and I’m working on some ideas for upcoming classes in 2014. If there’s something you’d like to see in an upcoming class, let me know, and I’ll see if and how I can incorporate it.

In the meantime, there are a number of pretty sweet classes on the schedule for the rest of 2013 taught by the other awesome instructors that teach there. Check one out!

Here are the pictures from Italian Comfort Foods (August 19).
