Chicken with Broccoli – COOKING IN QUARANTINE with random ingredients

You don’t need a pantry and fridge full of ingredients to make a delicious stir fry. I’d even wager you can use one or two things laying around to make something that rivals your favorite takeout spot.

Here, I show you the base recipe to make Chicken with Broccoli, but since we’re social distancing, COOKING IN QUARANTINE or lockdown cooking, if you will, you can riff on this with random ingredients. I used ketchup. Yes, Ketchup!

I even show you how to make PERFECT white rice just like the takeout restaurants.

The base recipe for my version of chicken with broccoli calls for
-1 pound chicken
-2-4 cups broccoli
-1/4 cup oyster sauce (I used ketchup here)
-1/3 to 1/2 cup chicken stock
-2 tbsp soy sauce (divided)
-2 tsp corn starch (divided)
-1 tsp Shao Xing Rice WIne (Optional)
-2 tsp toasted sesame oil (Optional)
