Darth Dick’s Wedding

This past Sunday, I had the honor of attending my buddy Darth Dick’s wedding. Many of you don’t know Darth and will probably never meet him. I was lucky enough to meet him back in 2005, and, even though we live apart, we keep in touch.

The wedding was lots of fun. I spent the day with Cassie, #dompap, Amanda, and Geoff Gorfman. We all arrived at The Bethwood in Totowa, NJ around the same time. From the outside, this place looked like Medieval Times. We all gathered in a garden for the wedding ceremony. The bridal party walked out to Kingdom Hearts music; Geoff and I kept laughing at this because it was only 30 seconds of the song and it kept looping. When the ceremony started, #dompap started motioning for my attention. He showed me this:

After the ceremony and some Star Wars music, we headed inside for cocktail hour. There was a fucking Darth Vader ice sculpture.

Cocktail hour was incredible. Brisket and prime rib carving station, periogies, kielbasa and kraut, cold salads, waited hors ‘devours, open bar. I was loving it.

That was about it. We all had an amazing time. Darth Dick really knows how to throw a party, and I’m not just saying that.
